How to prepare Percentage Chapter for Talathi /Talati Exam 2017

“Per Cent” means “Per Hundred”. It is given by % symbol. Example 4% means 4 per hunderd or 4/100.

Normally before exam some conversation of percentage to fraction will keep your mind. These are

50% = 50/100 = 1/2 = 0.5

25% = 25/100 = 1/4 = 0.25

75% = 75/100 = 3/4 = 0.75

33% = 0.33

8% = 8/100 = 2/ 25 = 0.8

20% = 20/100 = 1/5 = 0.2

On above you can solve the problems very esaly –

For Example –

25% of 500 = ?

(1/4) x 500 = 125

Example 2-

A student has to secure 50% marks to pass. He gets 163 marks and fils by 37 marks. Find the maximum marks?

Here 163+37= 200 i.e. equal to 50%. Therefore, 100% = 400 marks.
